Torts & Tots

Motherhood. Lawyer-dom. And maybe a few nice recipes.

Well Hello 2012.

Happy New Year’s, friends.  We spent New Year’s Eve/Day much the way we spend every other day – playing with kids.  I did make this recipe for nutella puppy chow  for Avery (fine – it was for me, too).  She calls it dog food.  And I also made this black eyed pea dip, which I insist, make that demand, that you try.  Delicious.  I can’t think of a better way to spend the day.  I still haven’t loaded my Christmas pictures on to the computer yet, but here are a few pictures from my phone documenting the the everyday-ness of our lives.  Yet another great thing about kids is that they even make the everyday-ness funny and quirky.

On Saturday (donut day, bien sur), Jerrod asked Avery if she wanted him to go pick up donuts and bring them home or if she wanted to get “dressed up” and go get donuts.  She said that she wanted to get dressed up in her Cinderella dress and go get donuts.  A little dressier than our typical Saturday morning.  But her pajamas underneath dress it down.  Don’t you think?

Another fun New Year’s activity is playing with new Christmas toys.  From Cinderella to artist in residence.

So here we are, starting 2012 much the way we ended 2011, and loving every minute of it.
